At Cierres del Hogar We’ve launched the Aluacero EOLO panel. Here’s what it is and why we designed it.
Why choose the EOLO aluminum-steel panel?
In certain cases, ventilation requirements when designing some spaces make it impractical to use Aluacero panels. This prevents installers from taking full advantage of this product’s aesthetic and technical benefits, such as quick and easy installation, safety, and the perfect parallel alignment of its straight lines.
In response to this market need, at Cierres del Hogar we have designed and manufactured a new finish for our Aluacero panels: THE EOLO FINISH.
Under what circumstances do ventilation requirements increase?
Typically, the Aluacero window model is ideal for natural ventilation when used to create large ventilation grilles or doors. The low airflow required, combined with a large ventilation surface area, means that the pressure loss caused by the grille is negligible, allowing us to take full advantage of the panel.
However, on some occasions we encounter more demanding requirements, usually due to the need for smaller grilles with very high airflow. When, for whatever reason, we cannot make the grille larger, our only option is to increase the airflow or the perforated surface area to compensate for this. That’s where the multi-perforated model (33% perforated surface area) and, especially, the EOLO model come into their own.
Technical Specifications of the EOLO Model
The current product family (windows, micro-perforated, multi-perforated, and solid), we are now adding the EOLO model, which offers maximum ventilation.
This corrugated panel or sheet weighs 2.50 kg per linear meter and is available in 11 galvanized steel ribs, each 0.6 mm thick. However, its main feature is that The new Aluacero Eolo panel has 58% of its surface area perforated.
This allows us to use Aluacero panels for ventilation grilles where their use was previously impractical, whether due to their small size or their high airflow requirements.
It’s not just about ventilation: aesthetics matter, too
In addition to its excellent ventilation properties, the perforations in the EOLO model lend it an elegant transparency while creating an unparalleled visual effect.
